Kirk Biodrowski Joins the JLA Madison Team
MADISON — JLA Architects, a full-service architectural firm with offices in Madison and Milwaukee, is pleased to announce the addition of Kirk Biodrowski as a project manager. Kirk brings more than 15 years of project management experience in various project types including retail, corporate offices, multi-family, healthcare facilities, as well as distilleries & breweries.
As a project manager in the Madison office, he will act as the intermediary for clients and internal JLA project teams; fostering a collaborative process with all stakeholders from start to finish. In addition to this, he will assure the technical quality of projects is achieved and enforce the application of QA/QC process standards.
Vice President/Madison Office Director Leah Teske is pleased to welcome Kirk to the JLA team, “We are delighted to have Kirk join our firm. He brings a wealth of experience and a perspective that will continue to make JLA a well-rounded, valuable resource for our clients, our team, and our community.”
Kirk’s early career was focused in science & engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy as an Engineering Laboratory Technician on a submarine. And later, he received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His background in science contributes to his disciplined and technical approach to problem-solving. This and his passion for art led him to architecture.
“Architecture is where science and art meet. The product of the two is a built environment that impacts people. And to be part of that is pretty amazing,” Kirk explained.
He pursued and completed his master’s degree in architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Since then, his work has included the following local projects: State Line Distillery (Madison), Electronic Theatre Controls (Middleton), and the former Roast Public House (Madison).
Kirk has spent his career in Dane County and is currently a Middleton resident. Outside of work, he enjoys competing in obstacle races like the Tough Mudder, riding both his motorcycle and road bike, cooking, and traveling. He’s looking forward to competing in the Horribly Hilly Hundreds bike ride taking place in Blue Mound (Wis.) this August.
