About the Project

The African American Center for Cultural Advancement (AACCA) is a transformational cultural education and economic center intended to realize African American excellence embedded in the Greater Madison Community. is a partnership between the Nehemiah Urban Development Center and One City Schools.

One City Schools is both an accredited five-star preschool and Wisconsin’s only year-round, extended-day public school. Currently located on Madison’s south side, it serves children age two through first grade and is authorized by the University of Wisconsin system to serve children through sixth grade. It’s current location is at maximum capacity and cannot accommodate any future growth.
