What drew you to architecture?

My father was a carpenter and I was always in the mix of it, helping on the jobsite. I just innately had the brain for understanding how to put a building together.

What’s your favorite (or most unique) project you’ve worked on and why?

I believe that reinventing historic buildings allows communities to stay connected to their roots. Throughout my career I’ve designed many mixed-use historic developments, but one project stands out: the Park Place City Center in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. This adaptive reuse project remains a personal favorite due to the intricate challenge of seamlessly merging the historic Adams and Masonic buildings.

What do you do for fun? Do you have any hobbies or special interests?

I enjoy cooking, reading, and taking long walks with my dog.
