Imani Haupt Joins JLA Denver as a Project Specialist

DENVER – JLA Architects is proud to announce that Imani Haupt has joined our Denver office. As a project specialist at JLA, she will provide support to our project teams in all phases of a project from design through construction administration. Haupt was drawn to architecture because she’s always been interested in designing better spaces for people.  She is family and community oriented and has always been interested in art and design but working with people really solidified her need to design better spaces for them to inhabit.

When asked why she chose JLA, Imani explained, “I was drawn to their dedication to philanthropic endeavors and working with diverse communities.”

“We are excited to welcome Imani to our Denver office.  She brings a passion for architecture that makes a difference for people, and a growth mindset that fits in perfectly with our culture here at JLA.” explains Vice President & Denver Office Director Erik Jansson.

Haupt holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Architecture from the University of California – Berkley. She was involved with a community collaborative project between GUB (Growing Up Boulder) and Children Youth and Environments (a research journal), where she engaged with the community about how to best design a more accessible environment for youth and greater Boulder community.  She is also active with NOMA Colorado, AIA, and JEDI (Justice + Equity + Diversity + Inclusion) in Architecture in Colorado.
