Meet Project Manager Andy Chitwood

MADISON – To further expand our level of client support, JLA Architects has hired Andy Chitwood as a project manager in our Madison office. He will oversee projects through all phases from building design through building occupancy.

“Andy brings a unique and valuable perspective to our team with his years of hands-on construction management experience,” explains Joseph Lee, president and owner of JLA Architects. Within his role, he will also act as a resource for our project teams in the construction documentation and administration phases where he has extensive experience.

Andy’s career started as a carpenter working primarily in new construction and remodeling. He later branched into single and multi-family subdivision development in the Illinois market. Andy explains:

“I’m most passionate about planning and building something that is not only new, but that encompasses new ideas, uses, materials, and concepts.”

Most recently, he managed the rehabilitation of multi-family projects. As a Madison native, Andy was proud to manage the restoration of Nichols Station (shown at left), a 100-year-old former water pumping station listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
As a true Wisconsinite, Andy enjoys spending his time outdoors biking, skiing and hiking.
