Vim + Vigor

Overview

Vim + Vigor apartments utilized the two final redevelopment parcels of the historic Brewery District. The two separate buildings offer a total of 274 market-rate units and 7,000 s.f. commercial/retail. The Vim building had a historical designation, so the project team worked closely with the City of Milwaukee Historic Preservation Commission on the design of the building and carried its design theme to the Vigor building. Vim + Vigor uniquely incorporates modern luxury while utilizing industrial, vintage furnishings to pay homage to the site’s historic roots while still reflecting the urban feel potential tenants are seeking. Its one-of-a-kind amenity package includes a Home Brewing Studio tying into the brewery & beer culture of Milwaukee. The project team partnered with local supplier Northern Brewer to inform equipment purchases and teach classes to residents. With an increasing number of Americans working remotely, conference rooms were also added that can be checked out as needed by tenants to offer spaces for business meetings.
