JLA is pleased to celebrate, alongside our clients and project partners, our 2023 award-winning projects.

Wright & Wagner Lofts exterior | JLA Architects | Excellence in Masonry | Beloit, WIWright and Wagner Lofts | Beloit, WI

Located along the Rock River, Wright and Wagner Lofts carries the name of the former Wright and Wagner Dairy that once stood at the site at the corner of Grand Avenue and Fourth Street. Its design pays homage to the city’s blue-collar industrial roots by incorporating industrial elements throughout. Phase one of the project is a mixed-use development with 54 loft-style units and 1,231 s.f. of retail space. Phase two added 83 more units with views of the river and ABC Supply Stadium.

At the AIA Wisconsin Conference, held in April 2023, Wright and Wagner Lofts was awarded the Wisconsin Masonry Alliance (WMA) Excellence in Clay Masonry Award. Entries for this award are evaluated on design and material usage, among other things.

Wright and Wagner Lofts was also recently recognized as a 2023 Project of Distinction by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin. ABC Projects of Distinction highlights the quality and professionalism of merit construction projects.

This project would not have been possible without our project partners: Hendricks Commercial Properties, Corporate Contractors, Inc., Midstates Concrete, and Brahma Masonry Construction.
