What drew you to architecture? What do you love about it?
My great uncle Albert Keymar, who was one of the founders of Plunkett Keymar Reginato Architects in Milwaukee, first drew me to architecture. He would show me drawings of all the interesting buildings he worked on throughout his career. Since I was always interested in art growing up, I recall being intrigued and impressed by the intricate detail and style of his “old-fashioned” hand drawings and thought it would be interesting to combine my interest in art with a career in architecture.
What’s your favorite (or most unique) project you’ve worked on and why?
I was the lead designer and building owner/radiation oncologist’s main contact for a 55,000s.f. diagnostic imaging and cancer center development in Tinley Park, IL. The entire project took years to complete due to the numerous medical suite buildouts that needed to be designed and built. This was my favorite project due to the friendship I formed with the owner during the years we worked together.
What do you do for fun? Do you have any hobbies or special interests?
My family enjoys traveling, hiking, biking and golfing (even though I’m not very good). We are very excited for a trip to Norway we have planned for summer 2025. We also like playing family games like Yahtzee and Racko and doing puzzles when time allows.
Are you involved in the community? If so, what causes/organizations mean the most to you?
I am involved with my church in Pewaukee. I am an usher and took over the role of Stewardship Elder a little over a year ago. My wife and I also help in other roles and events throughout the year at our church.
