Learn More About Margaret

What drew you to architecture? What do you love about it?

I became interested in architecture because it blends the rigors of construction with the opportunity to create a visually appealing space that will have a lasting, positive impact on people and communities for many years.

What’s your favorite (or most unique) project you’ve worked on and why?

My favorite project was designing and renovating a tenant space into a functional food bank for those in need. It was amazing to be able to work closely with those who help people every day, and to (in a smaller way) help architecturally to create a functional and beautiful space for a mission that matters.

What do you do for fun? Do you have any hobbies or special interests?

I enjoy sewing clothes and crafting crazy costumes in my spare time. I also enjoy oil painting and camping, but most of all I enjoy spending time with my beautiful dog!

Are you involved in the community? What causes mean the most to you?

I am passionate about helping dogs find a loving home. I volunteered at DFW Labrador Rescue in Dallas, TX, conducting home studies and interviewing families to help find them the perfect puppy match. Now that I have moved to Wisconsin, I am actively looking for a new dog rescue to get involved with!
